Hermann Vaske: Why are you creative?

Peter Gabriel: For me it’s an emotional language. So, I think it has a lot to do with childhood. I think is that the idea that artists are these angels that descend from heaven with immense talent, is bullshit. I think, you could give a pill to anyone in the street and tell them in 12 months time they gonna die unless they create some good art. If their survival is really dependant on doing something creative, then they’ll find a way to become an artist, whereever they are.
